Welcome to first grade! My name is Mrs. Kara and I'm so excited to be your teacher this year! I can't wait to get to know you and start all the learning & fun this school year will bring! I know all progress you will make will "bee" amazing!
Who is Mrs. Kara?
This is my second-year teaching first grade and my seventh year at Scholar Academy. Prior to teaching in the classroom, I was a SPED TA for a year and then the school's Behavior specialist.
Outside of the classroom I love to spend time reading, baking, crafting, watching movies and making memories with my family and friends. I am married to an incredible man and have a daughter that also attends Scholar Academy. Our family is lucky to have 3 wonderful dogs! I love animals of all types, but dogs are my favorite! I love dark chocolate, real lemonade and my favorite color is yellow!​
My favorite way to teach is through play and hands on learning but I also enjoy helping students learn in ways that support their growth best. I know it's going to "bee" an incredible year!
